Our Identity
The National Snow Industries Association (NSIA) is the member-owned not-for-profit trade association representing suppliers of ski, snowboard, action sports and winter outdoor equipment, apparel, accessories and footwear.

Its essential purpose is to provide a dynamic business-building connection between the various sectors of the snow sports industry: suppliers, retailers, sales representatives and the media.

The NSIA stages trade shows to connect suppliers and their products with Canadian retailers. It produces publications and research to assist in understanding the dynamics of the snow industry and it creates communications to facilitate a free exchange of information and ideas within the industry.

Each year, a significant portion of the funds earned by the NSIA through the trade show is re-invested in the growth of the Canadian snow industry.

Our Mission
An association of companies serving the ski, snowboard, action sports and winter outdoor industry, our mission is to:

  • Provide venues to promote members’ products to the Canadian dealer base.
  • Provide members with services related to the stimulation of their business.
  • Promote outdoor lifestyle and participation of outdoor sports in Canada.

Our Role

  • To establish, maintain and build a voluntary association of business engaged in skiing, snowboarding, action sports and the outdoor industry in Canada.

  • To encourage friendly trade and social relations in the industry and amongst the members of the Association.
  • To conduct trade shows in the best interests of the industry.
  • To develop and participate in programs which will grow consumer participation in the industry.

Our Vision
For the NSIA to be recognized as a leader, continually striving for excellence and the pursuit of best practice for the Industry and the Association.
